1. Full transparent screen
There is no mirror on the back of the screen,and the light is provided by a backlight.
The technology has matured enough to make it the first choice of display manufacturers. Disen display is also generally full-through type.
Advantages:
●There is bright and colorful features when reading in the low light or no light.Especially in the dark room at night,it can also be used as a floodlight.
Disadvantages:
●In outdoor sunlight,as the backlight appears to be seriously insufficient in brightness due to excessive sunlight brightness.Relying solely on increasing the brightness of the backlight will quickly lose power,and the effect is not satisfactory.
2.Reflective Screen
There is a reflector on the back of the screen,and the display screen can be viewed in the sun or light without backlight.
Advantages:
●All the light is reflected,not the direct light of ordinary liquid crystals,without backlight and the power consumtion very small.
●There’s no computer blue light,glare, etc. *Because of the use of ambient light reflection,reading is like reading a real book,not easy to cause eye strain.Especially in the outdoor,sunshine or other strong light source,display will be excellent performance.
Disadvantages:
●Colors are dull and not beautiful enough to be used for entertainment.
●Unable to see or even read in low or no light.
●Suitable for people workers,computer workers,visual fatigue,dry eye,high myopia,reading enthusiasts.
3.Semi-transparent (semi-reflective) Screen
Replace the reflector on the back of the reflective screen with a mirror reflective film.
With the backlight turned off,the TFT display can make the display image visible by reflecting ambient light.
Reflective film:the front is a mirror,and the back to see can see through the mirror,it is transparent glass.
With the addition of a fully transparent backlight,it can be said that a semi-reflective and semi-transparent screen is a hybrid of a reflective screen and a fully transparent screen. Combining the advantages of both,the reflective screen has the excellent reading ability in outdoor sunlight and the full transparent screen has the excellent reading ability in low light and no light,and it has the advantages of low power consumption.
