Hardware Channel Broken
Phenomenon:There is no response when clicking a certain area of TP, but the area around the area is sensed and a touch event is generated.
Problem analysis:The sensing area of TP is composed of sensing channels. If some sensing channels are broken, when clicking on this area, TP cannot sense the change of the electric field, so clicking on this area. When there is no response, but the surrounding adjacent normal channels will sense the change of the electric field, so a touch event will appear in that area. It gives people the feeling that this area is touched, but another area responds.
Root cause:TP hardware channel damage.
Improvement measures: replace hardware.
Phenomenon:TP can be used normally, but the press area and the response area are mirror images, for example, press the left area to respond to the right, and press the right area to respond to the left.
Problem analysis:TP partial area can be used, but the press is inaccurate, but the interruption is normal, and the position of the reporting point is mirrored, which may cause this phenomenon because the TP firmware is too old and does not match the current driver.
Root cause:TP firmware mismatch.
Improvement measures:Upgrade TP firmware/TP power supply voltage is abnormal.
TP Jumps Around Irregularly
Phenomenon:TP Jumps Around Irregularly.
Problem analysis:TP jumps irregularly, indicating that TP itself is not working properly. When the power supply of TP is lower than its normal working voltage, this phenomenon will be caused.
Root cause:TP power supply abnormality.
Improvement measures:Modify the TP power supply voltage to make it normal. It may be necessary to modify the LDO power supply, and the hardware may need to be modified.
Phenomenon:When dialing a number to make a call, after the number is dialed, the screen appears to jump randomly.
Problem analysis:The jumping phenomenon only occurs when making a call, indicating that there is interference when making a call.After measuring the working voltage of TP, it is found that the working voltage of TP fluctuates up and down.
Root cause:TP voltage fluctuates due to phone calls.
Improvement measures:Adjust the TP working voltage to make it within the normal working range.
TP Calibration Abnormal
Phenomenon:After pressing the TP in a large area, the incoming call is answered, but the touch screen fails, and the power button needs to be pressed twice to unlock.
Problem analysis:After pressing the TP in a large area, the TP may be calibrated. At this time, the threshold of the touch response of the TP changes, which is the threshold when the finger is pressed. When the incoming call is answered, the finger is pressed up. Afterwards, the TP judges that there is no touch event by referring to the previous threshold, so there is no response; when the power button is pressed to sleep and wake up, the TP will perform calibration and return to normal state at this time, so it can be used.
The root cause:After touching the TP in a large area, unnecessary calibration occurs, which changes the reference environment of the TP, resulting in an incorrect judgment of the TP during normal touch.
Improvement measures: Optimize the TP calibration algorithm to avoid unnecessary calibration, or calibrate the interval time according to the normal reference value once.
