I. Protective Glass
Protective Glass often referred to as hardened or chemically strengthened glass, it can be used to replace regular ITO glass on a display , or it can be used as a separate protective layer above the display;
II. OCA Optically Bonding
While protective glass can provide some protection, but if you want a more durable product or protective properties such as UV, moisture and dust resistance, choosing OCA bonding would be more appropriate.
OCA optical glue is one of the important raw materials for touch panel , it is made of optical acrylic glue without substrate, and then in the upper and lower bottom layer, and then each laminating a layer of release film, it is a kind of double-sided laminating adhesive tape without substrate material. It has the advantages of high light transmittance, high adhesion, water resistance, high temperature resistance and UV resistance.
Thus improves the readability of the TFT display using optical glue to fill the air gap between the TFT LCD , and the top surface of the display can reduce the refraction of light (from the LCD backlight and from the outside). In addition to the optical benefits, it also serves to improve the durability and touch accuracy of the touch screen and prevents fogging and condensation;
III. Protective Cover
Using alternative protective cover materials such as polycarbonate layers or polyethylene, which are less expensive but not very durable. They are usually used for non-handheld, in harsh environments, and less expensive products. The thickness of the cover is between 0.4 mm and 6 mm, and the cover is mounted on the surface of the LCD, where the cover can withstand impacts instead of the display.
